Anne Arundel Medical Center Selects Jump Technologies’ InnerTrack™ with Receiving

Eagan, MN – November 17, 2015 – Jump Technologies, Inc., an innovative software company that provides cloud-based mobile solutions for supply management in hospitals, today announced Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) has selected the InnerTrack™ with Receiving solution. Using InnerTrack with Receiving, AAMC plans to improve receiving dock productivity, increase visibility to incoming supplies, and build an electronic audit trail for all packages received and delivered within the organization.

AAMC has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the “most-connected hospitals” in America, based on collaboration among departments and forward-thinking use of technology. As many hospitals deal with the burdensome work of manual, disconnected processes, which cause higher costs and lower efficiency, AAMC is taking yet another step to strengthen their infrastructure.

InnerTrack with Receiving delivers a simple user interface on a smart iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod) and integrates with major delivery carriers, including UPS and FedEx, so as packages are off-loaded, they are scanned, entered into the system and matched to the purchase order (PO). With the final destination location identified, InnerTrack enables the user to print a label for each box and stage packages onto routes. Packages are scanned at each stage of the receiving and delivery process, creating tracking of each package and an electronic record of every transaction. Integration with the hospital’s materials management or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system enables completed POs to be closed quickly and simply, helping hospitals utilize negotiated early payment discount terms.

Traditionally, hospital staff members spend hours each week looking for incoming shipments. InnerTrack with Receiving offers a web-portal that allows users to quickly view updated status of incoming packages, reducing the time spent researching shipments and delivery status. And upon delivery, InnerTrack captures signatures of recipients, creating an end-to-end electronic audit trail for every transaction.

“We’re continually identifying innovative ways to improve efficiency,” said Dena Jackson, director, Supply Chain at Anne Arundel Medical Center. “In recent years, we’ve been recognized for driving greater supply chain accuracy and automation to reduce costs. InnerTrack with Receiving will help us reduce manual labor and improve efficiency, improve communication with internal teams waiting for supply deliveries, and create an electronic record of incoming supplies. With enhanced visibility, we can better manage and plan the use of supplies throughout our system.”

“JumpTech is automating supply management processes to reduce costs and drive greater efficiencies for hospitals and health systems,” said John Freund, CEO, Jump Technologies, Inc. “Understanding the challenges organizations face today, we’re focused on advancing technology that will allow healthcare providers to rapidly reduce costs and drive manual processes out of their system. InnerTrack with Receiving has expanded our portfolio of cloud-based mobile solutions that reduce labor, reduce costs, and enable more automated and accurate supply management.”
